Entitled “Andy Warhol: Instantanes”, this exhibit is about a series of photographs highlighting Warhol’s original slides throughout his prolific career. Hosted by Galerie Italienne, Paris, this was considered one of Warhol’s photographs’ largest exhibits.
Divided into several themes, such as those iconic polaroids, portraits, prints from film, and mixed media work. The exhibit’s unique set was Warhol’s “stitched photographs”, as it displays black and white images attached with an actual thread. It continues to express Warhol’s works that were exhibited last January 1987–weeks before his death.
Here’s a compilation of some photographs featured in the exhibit that ran from January 15 to March 13, 2021. You can visit Galerie Italienne’s website for more details on the exhibit catalog.
