LG Unveils UltraGear 4K 144Hz Gaming Monitor

Following the launch of a new premier entry in their UltraFine line earlier this January, LG has announced three new gaming monitors as part of their CES 2021 offerings. A model upgrade on LG’s 27GN950 gaming monitor with a 32-inch 1440p display, a 34-inch 1440p ultrawide monitor, and HDMI 2.1 compatibility are among the new displays.

The LG 27-inch UltraGear 27GP950 is a 4K gaming monitor with a Nano IPS screen and a fast refresh rate of 144Hz, however LG claims it can be overclocked to 160Hz. It also has an HDMI 2.1 connector and a dynamic refresh rate that can allow players to play at 4K when gaming on their consoles and PCs at a 120Hz refresh rate, which might be tempting to new owners of the previously released PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series S / X who really want to play next generation games on a monitor rather than a TV.

If you are a PC gamer, LG’s new monitor also supports AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-SYNC, which can both improve image quality and reduce screen tearing. Its display also has an RGB Sphere Lighting 2.0 function on its back, which can provide a colorful backlight for the ideal gaming atmosphere. No matter what kind of video card you have, your hertz and FPS will remain constant with the new monitor. High brightness, lovely colors, and a pleasing contrast are provided by DCI-P3 and HDR 600. Furthermore, even when you are not sitting straightly in front of your screen, the IPS panel provides a true-to-life color depiction. The screen can be adjusted, tilted, and rotated in height. This 4K monitor is hardware certified and spans 98 percent of the DCI-P3 color range for genuine color fidelity, allowing gamers to master content production during the day and gaming competitively by night.
