Upgrade Your Bedroom Into a Haven

By 2021 most homes will have smart devices that will make their design the definition of high tech and sophisticated. While this is great for the connected home, it will also mean that bedrooms need to become an oasis of relaxation, with calming colors and a comfortable atmosphere.

When it comes to creating a bedroom haven in your newly-mastered smart home, there are quite a few things you could consider doing. First of all, as mentioned previously you’ll want to make it a practical space that you can use every single day. This means placing all the big pieces of furniture strategically around the room and using smart storage solutions to keep things organized. You could incorporate some great lighting features, such as proximity sensors, color-changing bulbs and automated blinds.

If you’re not quite sure if having robots do everything for you is right for your home, but still want to give it a try, consider bedside tables with touch-sensitive panels. They will come in handy when you need to turn on the lights and adjust their intensity or change the color of the lighting. You can also use them to control your alarm system or access digital audio players via Bluetooth.

While upgrading your bedroom, you’ll also want to think about the kind of style you’d like to incorporate into it. One of the main trends that will influence this is drones and flying technologies. The bedrooms of 2021 will have wall panels with built-in drone docking stations, which can hold up to three different quadcopters at a time.  Since drone technology has come a very long way, you’ll be able to control these flying machines with your voice alone. You can also use an app on your smartphone or tablet to pilot the drones.

Wall panels will not only hold your drone docking stations, but they’ll also serve as storage for electronic devices such as sound systems and media players. With this in mind, you should think about your bedroom design as in line with the way modern homes are built right now.
