COMPLEXBOOST x SANTASSÉ

COMPLEXBOOST and SANTASSÉ have joined forces to host an exhibition of the work of Swiss Modernist architect Pierre Jeanneret (1910-1967) at 17 with 18. The display will showcase a selection of architectural designs from the Pierre Jeanneret Foundation, alongside pieces from SANTASSÉ’s range of furniture designed by world-leading architects.

Pierre Jeanneret is widely regarded as one of Switzerland’s most talented Modernist architects, whose works included the famous Villa Médée and Villa des Quatre Vents, both in Le Corbusier’s adopted home town of La Chaux-de-Fonds. The exhibition will feature some of Jeanneret’s original drawings, providing an insight into the highly creative design process behind these two architectural masterpieces.

Pierre Jeanneret was the cousin and partner of Le Corbusier, working alongside him to develop ideas on modern architecture through a series of collaborations that are now considered masterworks – Villa Savoye, the Villa Les Roches and the Unite d’Habitation. Following Le Corbusier’s death, Jeanneret continued to practice as an architect in his own right, and these drawings will demonstrate how he took inspiration from modernist design principles while creating his own highly individual style of architecture.
